Khi ấy, Chúa Giêsu phán cùng các môn đệ rằng: "Thầy là cây nho thật, và Cha Thầy là người trồng nho. Nhành nào trong Thầy không sinh trái thì Người chặt đi, còn nhành nào sinh trái thì Người tỉa sạch để nó sai trái hơn. Các con đã được tỉa sạch nhờ lời Thầy đã nói với các con. Các con ở trong Thầy, và Thầy ở trong các con. Cũng như nhành nho tự nó không thể sinh trái được, nếu không dính liền với cây nho; các con cũng vậy, nếu không ở trong Thầy.

 

Tiếng Anh: Jesus said to his disciples: "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and every one that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit. You are already pruned because of the word that I spoke to you. Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.

 

Tiếng Đức: Ich bin der wahre Weinstock und mein Vater ist der Winzer.  Jede Rebe an mir, die keine Frucht bringt, schneidet er ab und jede Rebe, die Frucht bringt, reinigt er, damit sie mehr Frucht bringt.  Ihr seid schon rein durch das Wort, das ich zu euch gesagt habe.  Bleibt in mir, dann bleibe ich in euch. Wie die Rebe aus sich keine Frucht bringen kann, sondern nur, wenn sie am Weinstock bleibt, so könnt auch ihr keine Frucht bringen, wenn ihr nicht in mir bleibt.

"Thầy là cây nho, các con là nhành. Ai ở trong Thầy và Thầy ở trong người ấy, kẻ ấy sẽ sinh nhiều trái, vì không có Thầy, các con không thể làm được gì. Ai không ở trong Thầy, thì bị vứt ra ngoài như ngành nho, và sẽ khô héo, người ta sẽ thu lại, quăng vào lửa cho nó cháy đi.

 

Tiếng Anh: I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned.

 

Tiếng Đức: Ich bin der Weinstock, ihr seid die Reben. Wer in mir bleibt und in wem ich bleibe, der bringt reiche Frucht; denn getrennt von mir könnt ihr nichts vollbringen.  Wer nicht in mir bleibt, wird wie die Rebe weggeworfen und er verdorrt. Man sammelt die Reben, wirft sie ins Feuer und sie verbrennen.

Nếu các con ở trong Thầy, và lời Thầy ở trong các con, thì các con muốn gì cứ xin, và sẽ được. Đây là điều làm Cha Thầy được vinh hiển là các con sinh nhiều trái, và như thế các con trở nên môn đệ của Thầy".

 

Tiếng Anh: If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples."

 

Tiếng Đức: Wenn ihr in mir bleibt und wenn meine Worte in euch bleiben, dann bittet um alles, was ihr wollt: Ihr werdet es erhalten.  Mein Vater wird dadurch verherrlicht, dass ihr reiche Frucht bringt und meine Jünger werdet.
